My Simple Chinese New Year

Happy Chinese New Year in the Year of Rabbit. Today is the first day of Chinese New Year and I just wake up after a few hours of rest. I didn't get to sleep yesterday, therefore I try to catch a few hours of sleep after my visit to relatives' house for ‘拜年’. Frankly speaking, I don't really like Chinese New Year after grown up. I dislike the way of being questioned by the relatives.

For this year's Chinese New Year, I made my breakfast early because I did not sleep!!! My first day of Chinese New Year is a simple meal, a bowl of canned vegetable beehoon!

It was Chinese New Year's Eve yesterday, and I had a very simple 'reunion dinner' at Burger King with my mother. It's the first time that I had burger for a 'reunion dinner'. I wanted to get some groceries for my reunion dinner, but I had to wait for my neighbour to finish washing the floor before I could get out. By the time I get out, it was already near evening.

After my 'reunion dinner', I went to the River Hongbao 2011 and look around. This time round, I found that the decorations are quite creative.

For example,

using recycle materials like bottles to set up the model of the buildings.

Later, I had some food at the Nanjing Food Fair at the River Hongbao 2011.

A bowl of Siew Mai, thin skin wrapped with meat fillings.

HK styled Glutinous Rice, it's really sticky!

Just took a walk around the River Hongbao 2011 and took photos of the exhibits and decorations there.

'The Phoenix'

And 'the Dragon'.

People gathering around the God of Fortune...

The model of the 'Guanyin Temple' looks so real.
